The island Palagruza is one of those places that make question their very existance. You can constantly hear local people talking about the mysterious isolated island and its only constant inhabitants who are the lighthouse keepers but also about the stunning core nature which makes it different from any other place.
If you are courageous enough to spend 48 hours (or even more) in a truly remote place, without any cellular signal, fully exposed to mother nature, then you are surely on the right track, since we’re about to create our own unique “Robinson Crusoe” story.
Our tour starts early in the morning as we make our way towards the town of Vis, our first destination but our last touch with the world as we know it. We will take some time to relax, stretch our legs by exploring and having a quick coffee before setting off into the unknown.
During our long drive towards the remote island you will experience the sea like never before and discover appreciation for fisherman and sailors who have chartered these waters for centuries with a lot less than our large speedboat.
As we arrive to the Palagruzan foothills and anchor our boat there, we’ll use our small dinghy to get us to the shores of the rustic beach at Velo Zalo.
Our Tour starts from the city of Split, on the Matejuška pier, near the main Promenade or at a location that is prearranged with you. Meet the crew and speed off towards the islands!
The town of Vis is located on the north-eastern part of the island Vis. Easygoing people, rich cultural heritage and fantastic food are the key words for describing Vis.
After a long drive trough the open sea, we’ll reach our new home – the stone lighthouse at the top of the hill. This will be our resting point between exploration of the islands.
